Ronald Keith Broadbent, affectionately known as "Hub," passed away on February 24, 2025, at 80 years old after battling a lengthy illness. He was born on December 11, 1944, in East Liverpool, Ohio where he remained a lifelong resident.

A graduate of East Liverpool High School, Class of 1963, he was a member of the East Liverpool Potter Football Teams defensive line and remained a true-blue Potter sports fan. Hub dedicated his professional life to a long and successful career in the banking industry, serving in various managerial positions. His leadership and integrity were recognized and respected by all who had the pleasure of working with him.

Hub was deeply committed to his community and generously gave his time and talents to numerous organizations. He was a valued member of the East Liverpool Jaycee's, Ohio Valley Boat Club, past president of the Calcutta Rotary, trustee of Elks Post 258, and a member of the American Legion Post 374 in East Liverpool. A cherished member of the "East End Boy's" breakfast club, Hub enjoyed monthly gatherings that grew into a large circle of over 30 friends. A memory like an elephant, he fondly recalled details of his childhood up until the end. He was a gifted storyteller with a lengthy repertoire of "Keith-isms" appropriate for any situation.

Hub was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn (Woomer) Broadbent, and his brother, Dr. Robert Broadbent.

He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Vicki (Myers) Broadbent; a daughter, Tawny Broadbent; son Sean (Tricia) Broadbent; sister Karen Broadbent; and two step-grandsons, Billy Pomeroy and Michael Pomeroy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta. The funeral will follow at 1PM with Pastor Norman Eckert officiating. Hub will be laid to rest in Riverview Cemetery
