Richard L. Green,87, passed away peacefully at his home on April 18, 2024 surrounded by his family. Richard was born on December 13, 1936, in East Liverpool, OH, the son of the late Donald C and May Haught Green.

On July 20, 1956, Richard married the love of his life, Alice "Elaine" Barber Green and spent the next 67 years making special memories with her and their children. He enlisted in the service and proudly served his county in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, Richard dedicated his entire working career to Crucible Steel in Midland, PA until its shutdown in 1982. He then continued his career at J&L Steel as a Roll Grinder in the Roll Shop until his retirement in 1987.

A man of strong Christian faith, Richard was a member of Northside Community Church. He was competitive in nature and actively participated in various activities. He played in Christian Men's softball leagues, church league bowling, won 1st place in the Polk County, FL Horseshoe tournament, and coached church league basketball. Known for his perfectionist nature, Richard firmly believed in doing everything to the best of his ability or not doing it at all.

Along with his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ayers, and son-in-law James Guy. Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Rhonda Guy and Rick Green, both of East Liverpool; his four grandchildren: James Lee Guy, Brandon Green, Kortnie Bowersock, and Megan Bowersock; and four great-grandchildren: Alexis, Theo, Lucy, and Aella.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11AM at Northside Community Church in East Liverpool.
