With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Poynter on August 13, 2025, at the age of 89. Patricia left this world as she lived—surrounded by love—passing comfortably at the home of her daughter, Amy (Frank) Dalrymple, in her beloved hometown of Wellsville, Ohio.

Born on September 3, 1935, Patricia was a lifelong Wellsville resident whose roots ran deep and whose heart was firmly planted in family, community, and creativity. She operated Pat's Wood Crafts, where she poured her skill and soul into each handmade piece. Her crafts weren't just items—they were memories made tangible, gifts of warmth passed from her hands to others.

Patricia had a gift for finding joy in the simple things. She delighted in the quiet comfort of her recliner, the steady rhythm of QVC playing in the background, and the laughter-filled competition of Skip-Bo games with her grandchildren. Among the many blessings in her life, her special bond with her great-grandson Maximus Hudson stood out—each visit with him brought light to her eyes and a smile to her heart.

She was preceded in death by those she held dear: her parents, Albert and Mildred (Seeley) Barth; her beloved husband, Donald Poynter; her son, Steven Poynter; brothers Paul and Donald Barth; sons-in-law Kevin Thompson and Randall Jackson; granddaughter Amber Dalrymple; and her devoted dog, Coco, who was never far from her side.

Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love through her devoted family: daughters Vickie (Kevin) Thompson, Karen (James) Taylor, Debra (Randall) Jackson, Paula (William) Reiner, and Amy (Frank) Dalrymple; daughter in law Shelly (Steve) Poynter; grandchildren Ryan (Jenason) Dalrymple, Benjamin (Megan) Dalrymple, Austin Dalrymple, Rachel (Tony) Pelsnik, Erika Scott, Joshua (Gina) Thompson, Ashley Thompson, Doug (Tori) Jackson, Nick Jackson, Mark (Jennifer) Stevens, D.J. (Natalie) Taylor, Michael Reiner, and Mitchell (Kailin) Reiner, Jeremy (Jennifer) Pugliano, Maria Pugliano, and Ashley (Kris) Aughinbaugh; as well as 18 great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward with affection and pride.

Her family will forever remember her humor, her creative spirit, her no-filter attitude, and her resilience and strength, which kept her living on her own until just a few days before her death.
