.Mollie Kay Reed, a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother and great-

grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, in Weirton, West

Virginia, at the age of 75.

Born November 19, 1949, in Wheeling, WV, Mollie lived a life marked by quiet

strength, humor, and unwavering devotion to her family. She found joy in the

simple pleasures: the rustle of leaves on a porch breeze, the pages of a good

Stephen King or James Patterson novel, and the laughter of grandchildren

echoing around a campfire. Whether enjoying nature's stillness or wrangling the

latest antics of her beloved husband, Douglas, Mollie lived each day with grace,

wit, and an eye for life's meaningful details.

Mollie was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Annie and

George Mossor, and her son, Douglas Michael Reed Jr. She is survived by her

husband and partner of many cherished years, Douglas Reed Sr., along with her

children Marcus Reed (Amy), Michelle Webster (Terry), and Sheri Cronin (Paul

"Jason"). She also leaves behind her sister, Bonnie Sherwood (John),

grandchildren Hope, Alexis, Marcus, Ava, and Kristin, and great-grandchildren

Elijah, Kameron, Karah, and Kinslee — all of whom brought her endless pride

and joy.

To her family, Mollie was the heart of every gathering, the calm in life's storms,

and the one who always knew when it was time to sit, breathe, and enjoy the

world around her. Her strength, wit, and fierce love will be remembered and

deeply missed.

A private family burial will be held at a later date, in keeping with Mollie's
