Marjorie K. Milne, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away peacefully at Brookdale Camelot Assisted Living in Medina, Ohio, on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the age of 96.
Born on February 25, 1928, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of the late Sherald Chambers and Bernice Chambers Anglemyer, Marjorie lived a rich and fulfilling life marked by dedication to her family, career, and community. A graduate of East Liverpool High School, Class of 1945, she embarked on a diverse career that saw her excel as a secretary for Attorney Francis Lang, contribute to the office staff of Dr. Melbourn Burnett, provide reliable service as a clerk at AAA, and diligently work with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen.
Marjorie was an avid reader whose love for books enriched her life and those around her. She was a devoted member of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in East Liverpool, where her faith and compassion were evident to all who knew her. Her commitment to service extended to her participation in the Order of the Eastern Star Crystal Chapter 18 and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #374. Ever sociable, Marjorie was active in area card clubs, where she forged lifelong friendships.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Milne, who passed away in September 2000; her cherished son, Robert Milne Jr., and her brother, Robert Chambers.
Marjorie leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She is survived by: her devoted daughter, Vicki (John) Keil; treasured grandchildren: Jennifer (Phil) Schwan , Amy (Justin) Weinmann , John (Karen) Milne , David (Cari) Milne , and Dennis (Angie) Milne; adored great-grandchildren: Madelyn Richardson, Benjamin Richardson, Haley Weinmann, Riley Weinmann, David (Christina) Milne, Bradley (Bree) Milne , Andrew Milne and Owen Milne; as well as her great-great-grandchildren: David Milne, Cooper Milne, and Bennett Milne who will carry forward her enduring spirit.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 9AM-11AM at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists, in Calcutta. The funeral will follow at 11AM with Pastor Greg Mead officiating. Marjorie will be laid to rest next to her husband in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
