Lawrence Charles
Schroeder
Jun 11, 1949 — Jul 26, 2025
Lawrence "Larry" C. Schroeder fell asleep in death at his home in East Liverpool, Ohio, on July 26, 2025.
Larry was born in Fullerton, California, on June 11, 1949.
Larry leaves behind the love of his life and best friend Sandy (Oxier) Schroeder. They were married December 24, 1983 and spent 42 and a half years happily married.
Larry also leaves behind their son, Dr. Bryce Schroeder, his pride and joy.
He is also survived by a brother, Carl Schroeder, and a sister, Janna Bryan.
Larry will be dearly missed by family, friends, and his little dog, Mia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Carl Schroeder, Jean Bryan, and stepfather Jay Bryan. Also, his brother Scott Schroeder.
Larry graduated from UCLA in 1971 as a Civil Engineer. He retired from the State of California, Cal Trans, in 2011.
Larry loved to make people laugh and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking, riding motorcycles, and rock collecting. The ocean was his favorite place to be.
He was talented and creative. He made thousands of bow ties and pieces of jewelry. He generously gave them away as gifts to family, friends, and strangers.
Larry was a member of the East Liverpool congregation of Jehovah's Witness, where he served as an elder. Larry's study of the Bible led him to a close relationship with his heavenly father, Jehovah, whom he dedicated his life to on June 9, 1983.
He often shared his hope of God ending death for all mankind. He firmly believed the promise of Revelation 21:34 where God wipes away death and 1 Corinthians 15-26 where death is brought to nothing. He also believed in the resurrection of those asleep in death. John 5:29 speaks of a "resurrection to life". John 11:24 says "rise in the resurrection". He knew that death will be undone by Jehovah God.
Our family would like to thank the Ohio Living Hospice team, especially Bethany, who we grew to love.
A memorial for Larry will be held August 23, 2025 at 4:00pm at the Kingdom Hall at 16516 Annesley Road in East Liverpool. Brother Charles Sheville will deliver the memorial.
