Kenneth Leroy Jones, Jr., affectionately known as Jr., passed away on December 12, 2024, at the age of 64 at UPMC-Presbyterian. Born on February 20, 1960, in East Liverpool, Ohio, Jr. spent a life marked by dedication to his family, work, and passions.
Jr. was a proud veteran, having served his country in the United States Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. After his service, he became a self-employed handyman, a career through which he forged many connections and friendships within his community.
Family was always at the heart of Jr.'s life. His love and devotion to his family were evident in the time he spent with them and the legacy he leaves behind. Jr. was also an avid outdoorsman who cherished hunting and fishing. When not enjoying the great outdoors, he could be found cheering for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers or tending to his garden, where he found solace and joy.
Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth L. Jones, Sr. and Donna J. Walker Jones, and his brother, Ed Jones. He is survived by his children: Kenneth L. Jones III, of Ellwood City, PA, Sandy Holloway of Virginia; Hope Sapp of Texas; Mercedes L. Jones (Marcus) of East Liverpool; Stacie M. Jones of Ellwood City, PA; Mary K. Jones (Chris Campbell) of Ellwood City, PA; and Donna Jones (Travis) of East Liverpool.
He also leaves behind his siblings: William "Brad" Jones, Dennis Allen (Crystal) Jones, James (Kimberly) Jones, Donald (Gerry Lynn) Jones, and Verna Jones, all of East Liverpool. Jr. was a beloved grandfather to Caley McDole, Braydin Boso, Gabriel Bowersock, Michael Bowersock, Dakota Campbell, Lilliona Jones, Samuel Jones, and a new grandchild on the way.
Jr. is also remembered by his long-time girlfriend, Patti McCutcheon, and the mother of his children, Susan (Jim) Klingensmith.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral and Cremation Specialists in Calcutta.
Kenneth Leroy Jones, Jr. will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit, humor, and kindness will remain in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
