Helene
Sheets
Jun 14, 1955 — Mar 16, 2025
Helene "Sissy" Sheets, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, in Wexford, PA, at the age of 69. Born on June 14, 1955, in Allegheny County, Sissy lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and love.
Sissy was a dedicated Sanitation Engineer at Montour School District, where she worked tirelessly to ensure a clean and safe environment for students and staff. Her strong work ethic and commitment to her role were admired by all who knew her.
Beyond her professional life, Sissy was known for her vibrant personality and zest for life. She had a passion for gambling and could often be found enjoying a game of bingo with friends. A true "Bargain Enthusiast," she loved thrifting and finding hidden treasures, always eager to share her latest finds with those around her.
Sissy's life was a testament to the power of joy and resilience. She faced life's challenges with grace and an unwavering spirit, inspiring those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness touched the hearts of many.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Georgetta McConnell and loving husband Howard Sheets. Sissy leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her sons, Howard Dean Sheets II (Eileen Durstein) and Adam Eugene (Brandy) Sheets; her brother, Earl McConnell; her sisters, Patty Salva and Barbara Sheets; and her adored grandchildren, Jacob, MeKenna, Cheyanne, and Harmonee Sheets.
Though no services are planned at this time, Sissy's family invites those who knew her to remember her in their own special way. Care Funeral and Cremation Specialists Martin Chapel has been entrusted with her final arrangements.
Sissy's legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
