Obituary

Hal B. Dailey, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away at his home in East Liverpool on September 17, 2025, just two days shy of his 65th birthday. Born in East Liverpool, Ohio, on September 19, 1960, the son of the late Herman and Janet Hutchison.

A graduate of East Liverpool High School, Hal was deeply connected to his roots, working for many years at his family's business, Dailey Electric. His work extended beyond the family enterprise to include his role as a "hot walker" at Mountaineer Racetrack, where he spent countless hours attending to , cooling down and walking horses . His love for these majestic creatures led him to live briefly on a horse farm in Florida, where he cherished the time he spent fishing, another of his great passions.

Hal's interests were as varied as they were consuming, with a deep-seated love for the outdoors that defined much of his life. Whether it was hunting, fishing, or simply spending time in nature, Hal found peace and joy in the natural world around him.

Along with his parents, Hal was preceded in death by his sisters: Debbie Wolfe Manypenny and Doreen Wolfe Marshall; brother in law, Larry Marshall; and sister-in-law, Grace Dailey. He leaves behind his brother, Cole Dailey; his nephews, Stacy (Michele) Marshall and Cory (Cindy) Marshall; his niece, Tara (Jody) Wiley; and numerous great nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory.

In following his wishes, no formal services will be held. The Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta have been entrusted with Hal's arrangements.
