East Liverpool: Ed Ankrom, 83, of East Liverpool, passed away on May 22, 2024 at Brookdale, in Salem, OH. Ed was born on November 23, 1940, the son of the late Fred Dunston Ankrom and C Stephan Ankrom. He was protestant by faith

After he completed his schooling, Ed joined the United States Army and served from 1958-1961, spending some of his enlisted time in Berlin, Germany. After his honorable discharge, Ed began working as a crane operator at American Steel until his retirement in 1992

On October 18, 1959, Ed married the love of his life,his beloved Evelyn Mae (Tice) Ankrom. Ed and Evelyn spent the next 61 years making memories together until her death on June 4, 2012.

Along with his parents, and his wife, Ed was preceded in death by: his sisters: Arvella Priggs, Alice Wright, and Charlotte Miller; and his brother, Fred H. Ankrom.

Ed is survived by: his brother, Robert Ankrom, of East Liverpool; sisters-in-law, Ila Tice, of East Liverpool, and Mary Ankrom, of West Finley,PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as his precious little dog, Tiny

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 11AM-1PM, at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists, in Calcutta. The funeral will follow at 1PM with Pastor Tom Adkins officiating. Ed will be laid to rest beside Evelyn at Columbiana County Memorial Park where the Tri-State Veterans Burial group will be present to perform military honors.
