Obituary

Dorothy (Gray) Haywood,61, of Wellsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at East Liverpool City Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Dorothy was born on June 18, 1963, the daughter of the late John Nelson Gray and the late Beverly J Linden Pollock. She was a graduate of Beaver Local High School with the Class of 1981, where she participated in band and choir. She was also a 1984 graduate of Kent State University. She was employed as a Head Cashier at Save-A-Lot in Wellsville until her illness prevented her from continuing. Dorothy lived in the area her entire life.

Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by: her father-in-law, William Haywood, Sr, grandmother, Lorraine Linden; two aunts: Edwina Lemire and Dorothy Linden; and her uncle, Hiram Lemire.

She is survived by: her husband, William Haywood, Jr. whom she married on August 17, 1991. She is also survived by: her sisters, Lori (Dean) Gilkinson, of Roswell, TX, and Nan (Bill) Giffe, of Chattanooga, TN; her special friends: Kim McCoy, Jodie Monte, and Robert "Mike" Dyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
