Dorothy Cline, age 83, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, in Warren, Ohio. Born on June 16, 1942, in Wellsville, Ohio, Dorothy lived a life rich with love and devotion to her family and faith.
Dorothy's formative years in Wellsville led her to a fulfilling career as a Press Operator, where she worked diligently for many years. After retiring, she dedicated over two decades to cherishing time with her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her their "G.G." Her retirement years were filled with joy, family gatherings, and the simple pleasures of life. She had a true passion for shopping, dancing, and animals, which brought her immense happiness.
A spiritual woman, Dorothy was formerly a member of Hollow Rock Baptist Church, where she found solace and community. Family was at the heart of Dorothy's life; she was known for her commitment and affection toward her loved ones, demonstrating unwavering support and care.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Dorothy (Black) Hawk, and her son-in-law, Scott Ryan. Her legacy of warmth and kindness continues through her surviving family: her son Hubert "Sonny" (Beth) Cline, daughters Jean Ann (John) Lanam and Loretta (Scott) Ryan, and her sisters Olita (Jeff) Brown, and Karen (Bill) Oiler. She was a cherished grandmother to 11 grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to the MacLean Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Wellsville, Ohio. Services will be held for family and friends on November 10, 2025 at 11am at The Living Well Church located at 1620 Maple Ave in Wellsville, Ohio, 43968. Dorothy's memory will forever be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she loved so dearly.
