Obituary

Don Croskey, born August 26, 1951, in East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, in Wellsville, Ohio, at the age of 73.

Don dedicated his professional life as a skilled union bricklayer, whose hard work and craftsmanship left a lasting mark on the community. Beyond his trade, he was a vibrant presence in Wellsville as a well-known DJ, where his passion for music and talent for entertaining brought joy to many. An avid collector, Don had a particular fondness for Disney memorabilia, showcasing his love for whimsy and nostalgia. Each October, his home became a beacon of creativity and festivity, as he went all-out decorating for Halloween, delighting neighbors and visitors alike.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, William and Margret (Barnes) Croskey; two infant daughters; his sister, Chressie "Sis" Holston; and his cherished grandson, Preston.

Don is survived by his devoted daughters: Jenifer (Thomas) Coe, Melissa Croskey, Amy Jo Croskey, Amanda Show, Jessica (Joshua) Cataldo, and Samantha (James) Stewart. He also leaves behind his loving brothers: William (Kathey) Croskey, Jeff (Rhonda) Croskey, and Mark (Dianne) Croskey. Fond memories remain with his grandchildren: Tristian, McKayla, Alexandria, Hermione, Ralph, Shawn, Christian, Tyler, Gary, Andrea, Sarah, Zachary, Madison, Aden, Anthony, Troy, Tori, Aden, Zoey, David, and Karolynn, along with six great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy.

The family extends an invitation to friends and loved ones to celebrate Don's life. Visitation will take place on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta, Ohio, with a funeral service following at 8 pm. Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11 am at Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville, where full military honors will be accorded, paying tribute to his life and service.

Don Croskey will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His spirit, creativity, and love for family will forever be remembered and cherished.
