Dayne J. Ours, born on February 14, 1974, in Salem, Ohio, passed away suddenly on September 9, 2024, at the age of 50 in East Liverpool, Ohio.

A graduate of East Liverpool High School in 1992, Dayne pursued higher education at Ohio University and later earned his degree from Youngstown State University. He dedicated his professional career to Ohio Edison in Stratton, Ohio, where he worked as a Plant Operator.

Dayne was a man of many talents and interests. A self-taught guitarist and keyboard player, he found joy in writing music and amassed a cherished collection of guitars and musical pieces. His passion for music was matched by his enthusiasm for sports, being a fan of both The Steelers and Notre Dame.

In 2012, Superstorm Sandy slammed ashore in New Jersey and slowly marched inland, devastating coastal communities and causing widespread power outages; the storm and its aftermath were blamed for at least 182 deaths in the U.S. Those killed included 48 people in New York and 12 in New Jersey. Dayne spearheaded collecting clothes, coats, shoes, and necessities, drove to New Jersey and handed out to anyone in need.

Dayne leaves behind a loving family, including his parents, Wayne and Diana Wise Ours; his brothers, Kevin (Sharon) Ours and Brian Ours, both of East Liverpool; his sisters, Lisa (Dan) Tychonievich of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Lori (Bill) Buchanan of New Manchester, West Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews; Rhianon (Ryan) Huff, Lance (Rommy) Buchanan, Cera (Andrew) rushing, Casey (Chelsie) Buchanan, Danya (Chase) Smith, Corey (Madison) Ours, Shayla (Jesse) Talerico, and 14 great-nieces, and great-nephews who will fondly remember him. Dayne was preceded in death by his niece Ashlee Veness.

Services to honor Dayne's memory will be held at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta, Ohio. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM on Saturday. Dayne will be laid to rest at Calcutta Cemetery in Calcutta, Ohio.

Dayne J. Ours will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, music, and dedication will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.
