Obituary

David Ulbright,Jr 50, of East Liverpool, passed away peacefully September 29, 2024, after a brief illness.

Born February 1, 1974, in East Liverpool, he was the son of David Ulbright, Sr. and the late Sue Ann (Merriman) Leslie.

A 1992 graduate of Beaver Local High School, David had been employed by the Homer Laughlin China Company, NVR Building Products, and most recently Southern Local School District. He was an avid hunter and fisherman since childhood, who also loved the "Ultimate Easter Egg Hunt for Adults", Morel mushroom hunting in the spring. During football season, you could find him cheering on the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Pittsburgh Steelers with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, maternal and paternal grandparents, uncle Mark Merriman, and his father-in-law, William Haywood Sr.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 23 years, Rachel; 2 children whom he was extremely proud of, Hunter Ulbright of Beaver Falls, PA, and Katie Ulbright of Athens, OH; Father, David Ulbright Sr. of Highlandtown; Brothers, Drew (Sara) Leslie of Beaver, PA, Todd (Tracey) Leslie of Lisbon, Kevin (Gina) Leslie of Lisbon, Eric (Sandy) Leslie of Section, AL. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and "The Best Dog Ever", Daisy.

Private services for the family and a celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford, PA for the exceptional kindness and compassion shown to David and his family during his final days.
