Beth A. Athey, 67, of East Liverpool, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, at Calcutta Health Care. Born on September 24, 1958, in East Liverpool, Ohio, she spent her entire life within the communities she cherished.

Beth was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose love and kindness touched all who knew her. She was a 1977 graduate of Southern Local High School and went on to earn an Associate's degree from Ohio Valley Business College. Her faith was an important part of her life. She was a member of the Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church in Wellsville.

Beth had a special place in her heart for animals and enjoyed their companionship throughout her life. She also found joy in playing bingo, where she made many dear friends over the years.

She is survived by her children, William S. Athey Jr. of Lisbon, OH, and Bobbi Jo McKenzie of Wellsville, OH. Her legacy continues with her cherished grandchildren: Cedric Athey, Isabelle Athey, Alaina Athey, Logan (Jolaina) McKenzie, Landon McKenzie (Hannah VanDyke), Lucas McKenzie, Lance Athey, Leland Athey, and Aiya Kirtley. Beth was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Zeke McKenzie, and the expected arrival of Elijah McKenzie in December.

Beth was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Henry Taggart, who raised and loved her as a daughter.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 10, at 11 AM at the Martin Chapel. Following the service, Beth will be laid to rest in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
